Boracay beaches offers seven kilometers of pristine white sand beaches. For this reason alone Boracay is the number one choice for a quality summer beach vacation.
Boracay's natural beauty is world-class thus attracting people from all over the world as well as the locals from around the Philippine islands, making this enchanting place one of the country's must-see places.
Boracay beaches can be divided into two basic coasts or areas: the beaches of the eastern coast and the beaches on the western shores.
The western side of the island is partly sheltered from the tempest and is calm and tranquil which is very ideal for lazing around and enjoying the 3S: Sun, Sea and Sand.
The eastern side is the opposite. It is vulnerable for the ramping waves and best for extreme water activities like windsurfing and kite boarding. Here is where Boracay hosts the annual International Dragon Boat competition since 2005.
Though White Beach on the western side of the island is the main attraction of Boracay, there are actually 13 beaches located around the island that can be used by the tourists for relaxation and adventures.
Boracay White Beach
This 4-kilometer stretch of pure white sand and blue-green waters in the west coast is the most famous among the beaches in Boracay. Partly protected by the eastern winds, White Beach is perfect for those who are looking for consolation with nature. With its impeccable sun, it offers nothing but the best setting for sunbathing or simply lounging around with acquaintances over a refreshing drink. The romantic sunsets will trigger romance in this little island.
Bulabog Beach
The next in popularity is the Bulabog Beach on the eastern coastline, located directly opposite to White Beach. Unlike the tranquil White Beach, Bulabog Beach is known for its rough mood caused by constant winds. Instead to be desolated, the beach attracts the adventure enthusiasts especially the windsurfers around the world. These windsurfers assemble every year to participate the Boracay International Fun Board Cup since 1988. It is of perfect condition as well for other water-sport activities.
Puka Shell Beach

This 800-meter beach became famous from shiny white Puka Shells, where the beach was named. These shells were once abundant, collected and made into a jewelry in 70s and 80s and made famous by Elizabeth Taylor.
Cagban Beach

Since it is the port area, infrastructures and facilities have improved making surely visitors will experience comfort and convenience. As “Cagban" means cave or chest, it is a good place for some treasure hunting as it is said that some treasures are still buried in the sand r in the surrounding caves.
Diniwid Beach
This 200-meter long beach is a nice, peaceful beach located behind the rocks at the northern part of the island.
