BOHOL Tour Packages! - Panglao Beach Resorts, Chocolate Hills, River Cruise, Island Hopping from low P4500+ only from www.Bohol-Philippines.com
Part of Boracay's appeal is that there are no buses, jeepneys, cars, taxis or planes on the island. None are really required as the whole island is only 7km long. White Sand Beach provides for most needs with facilities within easy walking distance.
Most visitors opt for motorized tricycles, which act as the island's taxis and make up most of its traffic. Rides are inexpensive, usually no more than P200 to any point on the island from White Beach and much less for shorter rides, and can be found almost anywhere along the main road.
As the tricycle seats are (in)conveniently located right above the vehicle exhausts, there can be a little pollution however - bring a handkerchief if you tend to be easily bothered by this sort of thing. Short rides, say from D'Mall to Station 3 or from Station 1 to Station 3, are a standard rate of 7 pesos but expect the tricycle driver to ask for 20 pesos or more if you look like a foreigner.
Tthe bicycle equivalent, take guests anywhere on the island and are handy way for the really lethargic visitor to saunter along White Beach. Both tricycles and pedicabs tend to charge much higher rates for longer distances or at night.
Hiring a bicycle is a useful way to traverse Boracay Island if you have the energy. Mountain bikes are also available for rent at several locations along White Beach, which is off limits to motorized vehicles.
Horseback riding is available at the stables located near white beach.
Motorbikes can be hired but are only worth it if you really want to explore Boracay in depth. Rates vary with the season and bargaining is suggested. Scooters provide the best flexibility at a reasonable price. The downside is having to deal with island traffic which can be unnerving for visitors unused to the aggressive tricycle drivers.
To explore around the island, rent a native sailboat (paraw) or motorized outrigger (banca) and visit the many beaches of Boracay.
